Teaching should be
about students.

Not spreadsheets. OrganizeClass is our attempt to fix the smallest, most quietly painful slice of teaching: the rubric, the gradebook, the report card.

Why we built it

Built for
assessments.

Elementary teachers carry a lot in their heads: which standards each student has shown, which ones still need evidence, which comments to write when the semester ends.

Most of that tracking happens in notebooks, sticky notes, and spreadsheets that don't talk to each other, so report card season turns into weeks of stitching it all back together.

OrganizeClass is one place to log evidence against standards as it happens, so when comments are due, the work is already done.

Principles

Three things we won't
compromise on.

Teachers first

Every decision starts with one question: will this save a teacher time? If the answer is no, we don't ship it.

Privacy, not performative

We don't sell your data. We don't hand it to ad networks. Your student work and rubrics stay between you and OrganizeClass.

Restraint over features

A rubric doesn't get better by adding rows. Most of our work is deciding what not to build.

Scope
One thing

Rubric-based assessment, done well. Not a gradebook, an LMS, or a parent portal. We'd rather do one thing right than five things badly.

Team size
Small

A handful of people who've taught in classrooms, so small we still read every support email ourselves.

Our promise

What you can
count on.

Your data is yours

Download student profiles as PDF and whole-class grids as Excel. Want everything out, or everything deleted? Email us and we'll handle it.

We'll email you ourselves

Support isn't a chatbot. We reply to every message, usually within a day.

We won't grow for growth's sake

No features that get in the teacher's way. When schools or districts get visibility, it's because the teacher chose to share it, not because we built a back door.

We'll keep the tool small

If we can't explain a new feature to a first-year teacher in one sentence, we cut it.
